Bitcoin reaches $1000 just starting the year!!

Bitcoin overcomes the quota of $1000 for the first time, since December of 2013, just beginning the year! As a sign of its recovery during 2016 on January the 1st, the virtual currency surpassed that quota and amounted to $1022. Last year the Bitcoin already revalued 125% compared to other currencies issued by central banks. By early 2014 values had collapsed due to the bankruptcy of its most important platform “Mt.Gox”. Now it rises again and is more stable because countries like China or India find it propitious to escape from the control of capitals and when there is lack of liquidity.

Also, the capitalization market is in more than $16 billion dollars, the highest in the history of the criptocurrency.

On the other hand, it should be noted that while 1 Bitcoin equals 1000 dollars, 1 mBTC equals 1 dollar.

Other criptocurrencies such as Ethereum or Litecoin also begin the year with a rise of their price.

Reasons for higher growth

It is possible that the following information is already reflected in the price increase, there are increasing signs that the ETF “COIN” of the Winklevoss brothers will begin to be traded on the Wall Street stock exchanges in 2017. Bitcoin only has a capitalization of $16 billion; if mutual fund managers and individual investors can have access to an instrument backed by bitcoins, this capitalization could easily double up in 2017.

On the other hand, there are few nodes left to activate SegWit, which fixes important problems such as malleability of transactions and increases the effective space per block, slightly alleviating the pressure that exists in the blockchain the days of payments that cause transactions to be unconfirmed for up to 12 hours.
